Year 7 Interactive Presentations

Year 7 are using Garage Band to create their own podcasts. They first started by thinking about their audience and why they wanted to produce a podcast.
Next they created a title and designed covers in Canva. They then downloaded copyright free introductions and added a voice over. Finally, they thought about the sections in their podcasts and started to record!
This was a really useful guide from @JadeBeason on YouTube
Year 7 have been learning Python. They have completed a range of learning tasks and challenges and learnt about the print function, inputs and variables. All of their learning has been recorded on their Python Learning Journey on Google Slides. This has been really useful for them to refer back to screen shots of previous learning.
Check out this link to the Year 7 Interactive Scratch presentations We also experimented with linking them to Teachable Machine in class
My Year 7 class have been following these great instructions to create a catch game in Scratch. They then used Discord and Midjourney to create their own characters to personalise their games and make them unique.
We invited the Year 4 children to play the games and they all thought they were brilliant.
Here are some of the sprites and games the children created.
Year 7 used Scratch to create interactive presentations based on their History or Geography learning. They used the knowledge from these lessons in DE to create some brilliant presentations
Year 7 used Sonic Pi to code their own doorbell. We then linked it up to a Makey Makey and created our own circuits and connections to make a real doorbell that could be pressed to activate the tune.
